Aimee & Christina – Choosing Engagement Rings Together

In the comfort of their own home, Aimee proposed with an Etsy puzzle that spelled out ‘will you marry me?’ Surrounded by tea candles, Christina said ‘yes’.

Tell us about your love story, and your proposal.

C: The first time I saw Aimee I knew there was something about her I just couldn’t stay away from. It took me a couple of months to work up the courage to approach her, she made me so nervous when I would see her here and there at the hospital we worked at together. Most of the contact we had was when I was creeping on her Instagram. I finally asked to hang out with her and reluctantly she said yes.

We went out to a burger joint and she “forgot her wallet”, it was at that moment I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her.

She surprised me and proposed to me after taking me away for the weekend to a resort and spa. I had picked out the ring I wanted, but she would say it wasn’t back yet from being sized when I asked her, which was over 1000 times.

She bought a puzzle off of Etsy that spelled out “will you marry me”? And spelled out I love you in tea light candles on the floor.

It was the most romantic thing I have ever seen in my life.

Of course, I said yes, with the happiest tears In my eyes. I was not expecting something so romantic from her, and she always said “I’m not romantic”.

Tell us about the engagement ring.

Our engagement ring experience was quite interesting! We actually went together and told each other exactly what we wanted. Christina has a unique taste, so I knew I wanted her to give me an idea of the type of ring she wanted, but luckily, she chose one pretty quickly. We got our rings on a Navy base in the Exchange.

What does your engagement mean to you both? Has anything changed?

Our engagement means that we love each other so much we want everyone to know. We want to show our love for others to see. The only thing that has changed is there is a lot more wedding planning going on.
