I grew up in Russia, and Elodie is from Normandy, France.
In 2012, we met at an underground party, in an artistic squat in Paris. Elodie was in a jacuzzi in the middle of the dancefloor. I saw her, and we fell in love with each other at first sight.
We spent the whole night talking in this jacuzzi!
It wasn’t until later that we found out that a mutual friend had invited us both to that party, knowing that the matchmaking would work!
Our first Christmas together in our first home was amazing. It is one of our favorite memories together.
Elodie met, for the first time, the most important women in my family. A little intimidated at first by their strength and beauty, they made her feel comfortable. I cooked delicious Russian meals, Elodie made everyone laugh.
However, distance has been something we’ve had to overcome in our relationship. Elodie had to leave Paris for her work to a city 600km away. Through untiring patience, long daily phone calls, and persistence, we were able to overcome the hurdle. Eventually, I was able to leave relatives and friends behind to be with her.
We thank heaven we have met each other. Life just got a meaning; love moved into our hearts and harmony into our souls.
