Halloween is arguably the best time of the year, right?! This styled engagement session is giving us all the spooky wedding inspiration we need for a Halloween inspired wedding day.

Captured by Devyn Spangler Photography , the edit, which styled by a creative team out of Oregon, is the perfect mix of black magic and wedding sophistication.

DWH: Who are Ashley & Christine?

A: We run Luvable Dog Rescue in Eugene, Oregon. I manage the rescue, handle the adoptions and the training. Christine leads a puppy care team and raises litters of puppies until they are adopted. For fun, we love to explore new places, and spend time at home having fun with our pack!

We have been together for six years but have known each other for almost nine years. Time sure flies! We met at a tourist trap in Orlando, FL in 2010.

DWH: Talk us through the proposal.

C: It took a lot of planning and convincing to get Ashley to take time off work to get away. I rented a cabin in beautiful Silver Falls and was anxious and unsure if the moment would feel right to pop the question.

After hiking behind a gorgeous waterfall, we stopped to perch ourselves on the ledge above the water to read together, nestled up against a tree. The moment felt right, so I presented Ashley with a box filled with scrolls of love quotes, and when she reached for the last scroll, she read “Will you marry me?” and I opened up the engagement ring box!

DWH: Tell us about the ring!

C: Ashley was super particular about not wanting anything commercialised, and loves things that are super unique and vintage. So, finding the right ring on a small budget was extremely stressful.

The ring is from circa 1930’s and has a coral centre with accent diamonds.

DWH: And, how has wedding planning been?

A & C: We have just begun wedding planning, and we are hoping to set the date soon! We feel so excited that we have chosen to put our roots down in Oregon. Now that we have lived here a few years we have an amazing community of people in our lives that we can’t wait to share our wedding day with. We hope to have a beautiful outdoor PNW wedding!

One thing we love about Oregon is that it is full of creative and talented people. We have met so many incredible artists that it is becoming hard to decide who we want to be vendors at the wedding. I mean unless we can have three photographers?!

We know we want to get married in 2020 because we love the significance in the numerology. We still have not narrowed down the exact date or location…it’s currently a tie. Stay tuned!
