This industrial meets romance styled inspiration celebrates the love of Brody and Mikaela – two humans whose whole relationship has existed through the pandemic.

Tell us the inspiration behind the shoot.

This shoot was inspired by mixing edgy industrial vibes with strong romance and capturing love in its honest and true form. We designed a ceremony and reception space that would appeal to any couple looking for something unique and that will have your guests wowed upon arrival. In addition, we wanted to have romance intertwined throughout each space and add a subtly sexy vibe in there to spice things up a bit.

What are the key styling elements of the styled inspiration, and who brought them to life?

The vision for this shoot started with the hunt for the perfect location. Since we knew what we had in mind for the overall look, it was easy to know The Wallace was the ideal space. Next, we wanted to have a strong design through décor and florals. The key piece to make this come together is the trust and communication between the planner, decorator, and florist to build this design together and push the boundaries with each other to create something truly spectacular.

Words by couple Brody & Mikaela.

What is your favorite memory together?

Our favorite memory together would be our first staycation. Brody booked a really nice hotel, and we spent the entire weekend being tourists in our city. Another favorite memory was lighting off Paper Lanterns. My wish was to get engaged, and he proposed six months later!!

What has been the biggest challenge you’ve had to overcome together?

We come from two VERY different families. We are learning how to jive with each other and understanding each other’s triggers and traumas. Our whole relationship has been during Covid, so that is also something we’ve overcome together.

What does the future hold for you?

Sunshine and rainbows, baby! We are so excited to build a life together. Our future looks promising, and we know we can achieve just about anything together.
