We had decided to travel to New Zealand for Christmas and wanted to make it a trip that would be incredibly special for us both. We had discussed marriage and knew that we both wanted that for our future together.
New Zealand is one of those incredible destinations; the landscape is beyond beautiful, and it holds real magic to it. We booked a photographer and decided to each propose during the shoot. We wanted that moment to be captured, and we wanted those images to be something that we could reflect on for years to come.
The proposals were emotional. There were tears from both of us and from the photographer, and there were plenty of laughs. We made our way up one of the most dangerous roads in the world. Climbed cliffs that we were too scared to look down from and ran along plateaus that looked out to even more of New Zealand’s magical mountain ranges.
We ended our adventure at sunset, underneath the cover of tall trees and beautiful berry bushes. It really was a day filled with so much love and intention. A day where we made a commitment to our love and to one another.
