How do you make a wedding feel timeless?
Don’t bother. No matter how hard you try, your wedding is going to be of its time in one way or another. Save your energy and go with what feels right. Whether you look back on an outfit choice and cringe, or you reflect on how you would do things differently given how you’ve evolved, it’s important to remember where you started if you want to celebrate how far you’ve come.
What’s your go-to gear or tool at a wedding?
Tissues! I always make sure to have some on hand whether it’s to wipe away happy tears, wipe sweat off brows or to pass to a guest who is feeling all the feels. I always have a stash in my bag ready to go.
What’s a wedding trend that you think is overrated?
This may be controversial, but wedding parties (as in bridesmaids/men or groomsmen/women). Not only are the gendered roles outdated (although there are ways around that), but there are ways to have your people around for support in the lead-up to and on the day without them having to stand up next to you during your ceremony.
