An Intimate Queer Elopement by the Red Rocks in Sedona

Monikkah and Halana fell in love on the dancefloor and embarked on a journey leading them to this secluded Sedona elopement, where they read personal vows and ate tacos.

OUR LOVE STORY

We’re a proud aerospace couple who’ve been together more than four years. Monikkah spotted Halana and was immediately drawn to her beauty and confidence. That and her sexy vibe. Halana, on the other hand, was impressed by Monikkah’s striking appearance and their interaction grew quickly.

Within seconds they knew one another’s names, and within moments they were kissing. And, just a few months after their first date, they had adopted their beloved dog Boeing, which they consider one of the best decisions they ever made. They learned a lot about each other while raising him and it helped bring them closer together.

THE VIDEO MONTAGE ELOPEMENT

Halana planned an elaborate proposal that included a beautiful video montage from their friends, a decorated home filled with balloons, roses, candles, and rose petals. When Monikkah walked into the room, she immediately knew what was happening and broke down in tears. Halana declared her love and asked Monikkah to spend the rest of her life with her. Monikkah, of course, said yes, and they toasted to their future together.

THE ELOPEMENT DAY

On their wedding day, Monikkah and Halana stayed on opposite sides of the house in an Airbnb in Sedona, excitedly getting ready for the big day. They opted for a first look and were overjoyed when they finally saw each other. They took some finishing touches photos at the Airbnb and set out for the stunning Sedona red rocks. Their photographer suggested an alternative location after their original spot had become a popular wedding spot.

The couple had an intimate ceremony at a beautiful location, created just for them by their officiant Ira, which included a glass-pouring ceremony to symbolize their lives coming together. After the ceremony, they exchanged vows privately at a scenic cliff area, deeper in the mountains.

They had a sunset picnic of tacos and closed out the night with some stargazing photos.

Together they have shared countless memories and grown stronger with each passing day. They are proof that love knows no boundaries and that anything is possible with the right person by your side.
