Inspired to connect local women in business, this group of creatives got together to support one another through the unprecedented pandemic. This shoot features gowns from new Australian designer, Hayley Maree Bridal.
Isolation restrictions had just been lifted and by chance a group of motivated, like-minded, local women connected to produce a promotional photoshoot to help each other’s businesses through the unprecedented pandemic.
Hayley specializes in couture bridal, red carpet, event wear, race-wear and debutantes. She’s passionate about creating handcrafted pieces that are elegant, modern, and timeless, with a touch of whimsical romance.
The featured collection is inspired by water, which she has always felt a strong connection to; ‘At times water can be wild, intense, uncontrollable and damaging and conversely it can be calm, soothing, peaceful, healing.’
The silhouettes and colors represent different water forms, from a dark sea, representing times of high anxiety and turmoil to a waterfall with soft and beautiful cascading water. The collection includes a palette of storm black, storm grey, silver and ivory, detailed with hanging beaded laces and volumes of flowing tulle.
Local models, Nikki O’Brien and Nikita Johnson modeled the stunning bespoke designs at local Macedon Ranges/Hepburn property, Pemberley of Malmsbury.
Pemberley of Malmsbury owner, Olivia Coutts, organized and arranged all the floral work, prop design, and the absolutely stunning location.
Olivia has been floraling & styling weddings for the past three years. Having worked previously for stylist ‘The Hattie & Bairn Tribe’, she is currently working for Elderberry Events. Olivia also runs a boutique Airbnb, Pemberley Cottage.
Florals by Pemberley of Malmsbury’s distinctive wild, rambling, foraged designs evolve from taking something ordinary and often overlooked and turning into something extraordinary and beautiful; perfectly imperfect.
Pemberley of Malmsbury is a historic 700-acre grazing property, run by 3rd generation farmers, located overlooking the picturesque Malmsbury Reservoir and iconic bluestone viaduct in the tranquil Macedon Ranges. Pemberley offers boutique luxury accommodation for up to 6 guests and is also available for location shoots.

Photographer and hairdresser, Kaye Rubi has recently relocated to the Woodend area. This collaboration came out of a desire to extend her creativity after recently selling her Melbourne hair salons.
The collaboration photoshoot even featured Kyneton local milliner, Hatitude. Locally designed earrings by Katie Tee and stunning cake design by Courtney of Food To Love by Mumma Chettle brought everything together.
Courtney’s passion is evident in her traditional old fashioned home baked and homemade food. Made with the freshest local ingredients just like Gran used to make.
