Jordan and Kelsey’s Intimate Elopement in Oregon

Oregon, Portland intimate elopement

Jordan and Kelsey’s elopement in Oregon was not just a celebration of their love, but also a celebration of their identities and the freedom to express them without fear of discrimination. The couple, originally from Texas, wanted to get married in a place where they felt safe and celebrated, and Portland proved to be the perfect destination.

Their journey to the elopement was not without its challenges, but everything fell into place eventually. The couple won the wedding lottery for the Hoyt Arboretum Redwood Deck, a stunning location that showcased the beauty of Oregon’s natural landscape. The couple even made a trip to Portland earlier in the year to take engagement photos and explore the city’s beaches and forests.

On the day of the wedding, Jordan and Kelsey were surrounded by family and friends who all played a vital role in making the day special. The ceremony was emotional, with heartfelt vows exchanged, and guests shed tears of joy. Afterwards, the couple took some time to themselves to walk the trails of the park and revel in the fact that they were now married.

The reception was a DIY affair, with Tastebud PDX providing dinner and friends and family giving toasts. The wedding painting by Nic Martin was also a stunning addition to the festivities. As the evening drew to a close, guests waved pride flags and expressed their love for the newlyweds in a joyous send-off that perfectly captured the spirit of the occasion.

Jordan and Kelsey’s elopement was not just a beautiful celebration of love, but also a testament to the importance of creating safe spaces for marginalized communities. Their decision to get married in Oregon was a reflection of their desire to celebrate their identities without fear of discrimination, and the joy and love that surrounded their wedding day were proof that love and acceptance can triumph over hate and bigotry.

As a photographer, it was an honor to be a part of their special day and to capture the love and joy that surrounded them. The beauty of Oregon’s natural landscape provided the perfect backdrop for their celebration, and it was a joy to witness the couple’s love for each other and their community. Jordan and Kelsey’s elopement will remain a treasured memory for all involved, and a beautiful reminder of the power of love and acceptance.
