Obsessed with history and all things dark and spooky, Lauren knew the only place she could propose to Sofia was at a cemetery in Salem.
We have been together a year and a half and actually had a chance meeting on Tinder. We started talking the day the COVID shutdown happened! Definitely a silver lining to a scary situation.
We had discussed the desire and likelihood of spending the rest of our lives together. But the proposal was a secret surprise for Sofia.
We are fascinated by all things history and all things dark and spooky. We had been to Salem prior for a weekend and had one of the best times we have ever had. Sofia feels very at peace and safe in cemeteries, and although I may not understand it, I knew it had to be done there.
Nothing has necessarily changed since the engagement, but our relationship evolves and gets stronger daily. We are true partners, we support, confide in, and stand by each other’s side through anything life throws at us. We know relationships take work, and we will do just that every day but every bit of effort is so worth it to be able to love and see your best friend every day.
Wedding planning is going goo – we plan something that’s beautiful and happy but on the ‘darker’ side. An outdoor ceremony at Salem Mass will be brought to life with darker floral arrangements and candles.
And, what’s the point of getting married at a place like Salem if you don’t do it on Halloween weekend?!
