A note from the photographer, Jenn Terrell Photography:
I had worked with Lenny and Natalie in a session before this styled edit. They are a real couple, and I loved the chemistry they between them, and so I asked them if they would be interested and they happily obliged! The overall theme was to celebrate love. I love working in greenhouses, so I made my suggestions to Tanya, and she chose the decor. We had not seen anyone else do a styled shoot, or even a wedding, in a greenhouse in our local area, so we thought it would add something new for people to dream about when marrying in Bentonville, Arkansas.
We chose to keep everything modern and minimalist – focusing on that spark between Lenny and Natalie I had already witnessed. I decided on the cake design and Tanya picked the bouquets, which ended up being one of my favorite aspects.
The dress that Lenny (who has blonde hair) is wearing was the wedding dress of the planner of the shoot, and the dress Natalie (who has brown hair) wears a dress I bought for $50 at a thrift store – which goes to show that you don’t necessarily need to spend a whole lot of money on something that looks beautiful.
It was essential to us to work with vendors that we knew would be LGBTQ friendly and so when LGBTQ+ couples saw these photos, they would know they would be free of discrimination with the vendors we worked with.
