For this shoot, I was so inspired by the effortlessly cool vibe of Havana. Street food, live music, vibrant colors, love, and dance. These are all of the things we have been missing since the beginning of the pandemic. I wanted to capture the movement. The playful fun and the togetherness we all miss so much.
Love in motion, bright, and full of character.
The pandemic has left all of us creatives without food for our souls. Creating special moments together for clients we love is what makes us feel alive, and this shoot gave us a space to celebrate a real couple while creating a scene that really spoke to us.
The florals and table design made this shoot come together. BLUE Floral knocked it out of the park with her foamless floral design. That captures the life of spring with a coolness and lushness brought to the design with houseplants from Noetic Floral. The classic table design elevated the vision to turn this funky party into a timeless wedding.

We met during a summer camp where we worked through the organization that we both work full time for.
Our favorite memory would have to be our trip to Disneyland together. May received her bachelor’s degree in The Science of Human Development, and in return, Mikayla surprised her with a trip to California. And on that trip, they visited Disneyland, which was May’s first time visiting. The best part of Disneyland was the Fantasmic water show, and we found perfect seats. Oh, and of course, the Disney princess parade.
Fortunately, we don’t have many challenges as a couple. If we had to say anything, it would be balancing time to spend together. We both work full-time jobs on top of both owning businesses. Sometimes it’s hard to get quality time together when we’re both so busy. We do our best to make it happen.
My favorite thing about May is feeling very secure. She has never given reason for me to second guess her love for me, and I am always covered. If I don’t have it, she will, and she makes sure that she is always stable so that I don’t ever have to worry.
My favorite thing about Mikayla is that she loves hard, and she loves wholeheartedly. She loves people for who they are and not who they may have been in the past.
