I wanted this shoot to be simplistic, natural, wild and striking while celebrating LGBTQ+ couples. We headed to a small secluded beach in Silverdale, Lancashire, just on the edge of the Lake District. There’s a small cave halfway up the rock face, perfect for a beautifully framed shot. The beach overlooks Morecambe Bay, and on a really clear day, you can even see Blackpool Tower in the distance.
In keeping with my style of photography, I wanted this to be warm, natural and romantic. I wanted to inspire couples by showing them that an elopement so simple and small can be so beautiful, bold, and romantic when you choose good quality suppliers and use the beauty of the natural scenery to create the atmosphere.
We used the beauty of golden hour for romance and had the models go barefoot on the beach to create a wild and natural feel. Loose, relaxed fitting dresses by Stephanie Allin created an effortless and wild look, accompanied by wild and warm florals. Luci is wearing the ‘Gem’ halter neck Stephanie Allin dress crafted from eco crepe, made from recycled plastics, and in keeping with our natural and wild theme. Martha is wearing the ‘Hazel’ slip dress by Stephanie Allin.
Emma Brennan created a relaxed beach wave look for both models and added an elegant Devoted by Jessica Jordan hairpiece into Luci’s braid. Amy Brown chose natural brown tones for the makeup to reinstate the natural and relaxed vibe.
Flower B Florist created a dramatic triangular flower frame with a mix of brown and raspberry tones to compliment the warm light.
This whole elopement with the same suppliers would come in just under £5K.
