What’s something people would be surprised to find out about you?

Photography is not my first creative love even though it is my favorite. I am a lifelong creative. I am a trained dancer and singer. I have dabbled in acting, poetry, guitar and bass. In the future, I want to learn to make clothes, play piano and throw clay.

What inspired you to work in the wedding world?

My own Las Vegas elopement and Palm Springs honeymoon. My wife and I wanted to document everything including our drive around the desert. I shot the entire trip on a Rebel T7 with a 35 mm lens. After that trip I knew I wanted to pursue my long lost love of photography. Not long after that trip, I started shooting elopements and micro-weddings at Forever Club in Detroit.

What’s the most unexpected source of inspiration you’ve had?

It is not actually that unexpected but drag queens, drag dolls and drag kings. They are such incredible performers and some of my favorite photo subjects. I absolutely love photographing drag performers.
