Woman, LGBTQ+, and Neurodivergent Owned

Colleen Elise Photography

Elopement and intimate wedding photographer for couples who want genuine + joyful images.

You’ve made the intentional decision to have an intimate event to celebrate your love, whether that looks like just you and your partner(s) or 40 of your favorite humans. No matter how many people are (or aren’t) in attendance, it’s still your wedding day. It’s a big deal, and the day deserves to be celebrated as such + documented in a way that feels easy, stress-free, and fun. At the end of the day, all you have are memories, and photos are a way of capturing those memories in time so that you can look back on the day and remember it as it was.

Hey, I’m Colleen– your photographer, guide, and hype person. I’m currently located in North Georgia and photograph elopements and weddings throughout Georgia, the southeast, and anywhere in the US! I started photographing weddings over 9 years ago, and as cliche as it is, I love love. As someone who’s had a passion for photography for a VERY long time and a desire to help others, photographing love stories is a passion as much as it is a job. I strive to be my most authentic self (a combo of weird and whimsy) so that you feel comfortable in front of the camera and can be YOUR authentic selves.

USA Wide
Elopements
from $3000
Intimate weddings
from $3600

As someone who has lived in the southern US their entire life, inclusivity is a core value of my business. Nobody should ever feel or be excluded in any space because of who they love, what they look like, and/or their physical abilities. As a neurodivergent person, I understand what it feels like to feel “different,” but this is a safe space to be you. You are loved, seen, and most importantly–celebrated.

What’s the most rewarding thing about being a wedding pro?

The fact that people I may have never met otherwise trust me to capture memories on one of the biggest days of their lives. It’s a huge deal to me!

What’s a wedding trend that you think is overrated?

It’s not a “trend” per se, but doing things on your wedding day because it’s what someone else wants. It’s YOUR wedding! Do whatever you want!

How do you approach sustainability in weddings?

Oooo I love this question, especially as someone who loves and appreciates nature. I very much adhere to the Leave No Trace principles. No leaving trash anywhere, even if it’s a flower petal. I make sure I know and follow local, state, and national park guidelines, including obtaining required permits. I’m also an avid thrifter and 10000% am here for second hand attire, decor, etc. and love to work with florists who use local, farm-grown florals.
