David Clumpner
Specializing in a candid/photojournalistic approach for people who value authentic, raw, and emotional imagery.
I bring a creative, candid and unposed approach to your wedding day to capture both the feeling of your relationship and the emotion and moments when all your favorite people come together.
I have been one of the go-to photographers for inclusive weddings in a red state for over a decade, emphasizing a safe, loving, and inclusive day for all of my clients. I keep a private list of fellow inclusive vendors to help create the day you deserve.

How do you keep up the energy during long wedding days?
I have no idea but I give unlimited coverage so I’m usually at your wedding for 12-14 hours. A few times a year I go 17+ hours. I am extroverted and friendly at weddings and no matter how tired I am, I seem to draw a lot of energy from the guests and the experience. There’s a good chance I will have a couple of drinks once the dance floor opens, though!
What’s a common misconception about your role in the wedding industry?
That I’m a vendor in an all-black uniform and that I’ll offer uncomfortable poses or ask you to fake things. I am the antithesis of the traditional wedding photographer. I want you to be with your people and I want to photograph those connections.
How do you capture the unique personalities of the people you work with?
I listen, I watch, and I anticipate. My specialty is documenting personality and emotion and I’ve worked very hard for over a decade to be good at this for you.
