Eline Tasma
Elopements & Micro-Weddings in Switzerland, Italy, and wider Europe.
Elopement photography and experience design as well as the documentation of micro-weddings across Switzerland, Italy, and wider Europe. I grew up below my father’s art studio, surrounded by artists. Who you loved was never the question. People were people. Love was love. That’s still how I see it, and what I teach my sons.
As an adult, I’ve moved around a lot – from bustling Barcelona to la dolce vita near Lake Garda and most recently halfway up a mountain in the Swiss Alps. There I was reminded of the Romansh word: patgific. That full-chest feeling of joy, not performing joy, just savoring it. I hope you feel that when you celebrate. I’m here to document all of it though: the laughter, the tears, the intentional choices you’ve made, as well as what comes up in the moment.
What you take home isn’t just photos. It’s art that holds exactly how that day felt.
Limited to ten elopements a year, because your elopement deserves full presence from all of us.

You don’t need to explain yourselves, you can just be. Just the two of you or with a small group of loved ones, moving through landscapes that don’t care about who any of us are. I’ve had the privilege of working with many LGBTQ+ couples, often very privately, and I take that trust seriously. Your gallery is yours. No pressure, no questions. I only work with vendors who feel the same way.

How do you balance your creative vision with the couple’s wishes?
A couple’s experience always comes first. If they’re hungry, we eat – no matter the gorgeous sunset. I’ll share what I see, give options, tell them what I might do. But the photos – while I love showcasing them when I’m allowed – are for them. If their memory of a moment wasn’t good, the photo will never really look good to them either.
How do you keep it together when things get emotional?
I don’t always. And I don’t try to. By the time we’re out in nature together, we’ve spent months in each other’s worlds. So when we get to the vows, or the letters from loved ones at home, and sometimes even the stories about the people you’ve lost, it lands. Not just for you, also for me.
Favorite quote or mantra to live by?
Þetta reddast. It’s Icelandic – roughly “it’ll all work out.” Not wishful thinking. More like an orientation. Weather closes a road, a dress arrives eighteen hours before sunrise, a trail disappears under snow. You adapt. You find the thing that was waiting instead. It always works out. Not because nothing goes wrong, but because you stop fighting what you can’t control… and something better usually shows up.
