Georgia Wiggs
Your Professional Third Wheel.
Oh hey there!
I’m Georgia, a Melbourne based photographer who is always more than happy to travel. I enjoy hiking, scuba diving and spending time with my two little cats. I’m in love with capturing the special little moments of the day; the nervous preparation giggles, your mother’s tears, your father’s pride and the laughter in-between posed photos.
Approaching weddings with a photojournalistic ‘fly on the wall’ style, I document your day as it unfolds and never interfere with events (or stand in front of your Nanna during the ceremony!). I capture the genuine emotion and joy throughout the day.

Inclusivity is crucial in an industry that has historically excluded many. As a queer photographer, I’m honored to capture the love of LGBTQIA+ couples, creating safe, celebratory spaces and using inclusive language that affirms your identity.

What’s your favourite way to give back to your community?
I’m a part-time highschool teacher working in a low SES government school in Victoria. I teach VCE media and work with lots of young people to foster a love of creativity and pass on my photography and filming skills. I love watching their projects and skills develop over the years and its so exciting seeing them consider careers in the arts and media. This work is difficult and involves lots of time outside of hours, but it feels really good to be part of that school community.
What’s your favourite thing about being a wedding pro?
It’s genuinely the best job in the world. I get to be surrounded by people on one of the best days of their life who have given me their trust to document the day. The high emotions and love are just contagious (you’ll often see me having a sneaky cry during the ceremony – even after 10+ years in the biz). Hearing the speeches and vows, I pretty much leave every wedding absolutely obsessed with every couple and wanting to be friends. To sum it up my favourite this is absolutely the people I meet and the stories I get to share and document.
Have you got any pets? Tell us about them.
I sure do! I have three cats. Ember, Bean and Tilly. Whilst having three cats was never exactly part of the plan (my wife had 1 and I had 2 when we met!) we love how much chaos they bring into our lives (except for when we are trying to sleep that is!) they all have such different personalities and quirks and it’s pretty rare that I don’t have at least one cat sitting on me whilst I edit wedding photos.
