Chicago Queer Documentary & Film Photographer.

Kate Scott Photography is a woman and queer-owned business, providing a completely inclusive, joyful, and colorful experience from start to finish!

Let’s be real: your photos should feel like you. Your wedding is not a photoshoot. It is a day of love and celebration that I am lucky enough to be a part of. My goal is to capture your story that feels completely joyful and authentic to your relationship.

I’m a Chicago native and have been a professional photographer for over 10 years. I am obsessed with capturing the perfect moment that will make you gasp and say “Oh my god, this is amazing!” It is so important to me that you feel safe, loved, and beautiful every step of the way!

What’s a common misconception about your role in the wedding industry?

The biggest misconception is that I’m just a photographer! I’m also there to help you with your timeline, hype you up all day long, and of course, make sure there’s no leftover dessert!

What’s your favorite wedding moment to capture?

I am a huge sucker for everyone letting loose on the dancefloor! There is nothing more exciting to me than seeing all of your guests belting out the latest Chappell Roan song while I capture every bit of it.

If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go?

I would love to spend a few weeks in Japan someday, traveling everywhere by train!
