Hey, I’m Laura Sparks and I specialize in elopements and intimate weddings because I 1000% believe it’s the best way to get married! (Like, for real! My wife and I eloped in Olympic National Park in Sept ’23!) I seriously have the best job ever because I get to help lovers create a day that is authentic, where you can completely be yourselves, and have the best damn day EVER. From location and vendor recommendations, to creating the perfect timeline for you, I’ve got you covered!
I’ve been traipsing around these mountains for the past 18 years as a landscape photographer. I fell in love with shooting landscapes first before realizing how much I love photographing rad people in beautiful places!
I focus on moments instead of giving you awkward poses. You know how to fit into each other’s arms so I’m not going to pose you in ways that don’t feel natural. What I will do? I’ll observe the special, little ways you naturally interact as a couple and build on that. I’ll encourage you to go check out the view and give you space. My goal is to create an environment where you feel comfortable doing your thing—your real thing—in front of the camera.

What’s a wedding trend that you think is overrated?
Honestly? Big weddings! They’re so expensive and overwhelming for many folks. Keeping your guest list smaller helps you be more intentional with how you spend your time and who you spend it with.
What’s your favorite comfort food?
I love a good smash burger!!
Team elopement or wedding? Why?
Team elopement all the way! Eloping gives you the freedom to do exactly what you want to do without having to accommodate for your guests. Big weddings come with so much wasted expense and pressure to perform. There’s nothing like being able to slow down and just enjoy every moment!
