Sarah O’Grady Celebrant
Let’s get your favourite people laughing and crying, and even joining in – that said, I can also be employed to tackle anyone who tries to steal your thunder.
When you’re both old and grey, looking back on your crazy and beautiful lives, your wedding day should be a highlight that brings a smile to your faces.
Let me help create that memory with you.
From an intimate affair or a grand wedding to be remembered for all the ages, I’m here to support you with creating your dream ceremony. We will capture your love story and send you off into your next chapter excited for all the possibilities a married life can bring.
Ceremony planning with me is like meeting someone at your local café or pub. Let me hear all about you both, learn what makes you ‘you’, and I’ll help get this party started!
From Legals Only to Micro Weddings and the full OG Wedding with the works, each package is uniquely tailored to your wishes. I’m all about open and easy communication and thorough planning to ensure your ceremony is smooth and seamless.
When I’m not found ‘celebr-anting’, I am enjoying life, food, footy, kitchen dance parties and a giggle with my wife Sarah and our daughters Farrah and Zoe. I am a lover of words and their power. I love being outdoors. I love a good creative challenge. I smile from ear to ear when I get to see people celebrating their love.
Last but certainly not least, I am a proud queer woman, excited to be doing what I do in this time of marriage equality in Australia. I’m here to be a part of your love story, no matter its shape, size or colour.
Talk soon lovely people,

I value inclusivity, respect and accessibility, and my ceremonies are designed with these values at the forefront. Weddings are such beautiful moments of togetherness, both for the couple and their chosen guests.
My wish is for ALL people to feel seen, heard and loved in being a part of the ceremonial spaces I create. To do this, I am firstly conscious of my own inclusive language and its power; I ask my couples how they identify and wish to be addressed; and I plan ceremonies with my couples to welcome all of their guests into the celebration of not only their love and relationship but of the bond that they share by witnessing such a raw expression of love.
As a queer woman myself, I recognise the impact of inclusivity and how I smile on the inside when people see me without making assumptions. I strive to pay forward that smile however I can and to continue my learning of others and their intersectional diversities.

What’s your go-to karaoke song?
“I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)” by Whitney Houston. She had me at dancing, not the man who’ll take a chance.
What’s something people would be surprised to find out about you?
I lived in Germany for most of my 20s. I speak German fluently and it was there that I performed my first wedding, a bilingual English-German ceremony for beautiful friends of mine in 2014.
What’s a piece of advice you find yourself giving to all your couples?
This is YOUR day. Just as you have chosen your partner to the exclusion of all others, this also applies to the wedding planning, guests lists, song choices and glorious outfits. You do you, not anybody else.
