Editorial-Inspired Atlanta Wedding with Custom Suits and Three Dress Changes
Lauren (she/her) and Ashleyโs (she/her) wedding in Atlanta felt like the kind of party you hope all your friends throw someday. They met 16 years ago, drifted apart, and then found their way back, building a life that now includes a golden doodle and plenty of laughter. They skipped the fuss and focused on what mattered: candlelit spaces, bold outfits (Lauren rocked three looks), a live violist playing as she walked down the aisle, and the people who mean the most to them.
What drew you to your wedding venue in Atlanta?
We were looking for a space that felt both timeless and moody, with a little gothic edge to match our personalities and love story. The moment we walked into 42 West Entertainment, we knew it was the one. The soft candlelight, dramatic draping, and dark wood accents made the day feel like stepping into a dream.
How did you approach planning and organizing the wedding?
Having LesLo Events on our team made the whole process so easy. They handled every detail so we could focus on enjoying the experience instead of stressing about spreadsheets. We definitely went a little over our initial budget, but seeing everything come to life was worth every penny.

How did you decide who to invite?
We wanted an intimate wedding, surrounded only by the people who truly love and support us. We skipped obligation invites and focused on creating a space where every single person in the room mattered.
Tell us about your outfits. We heard there were multiple wardrobe changes.
Lauren wore three looks: a princess-inspired ceremony gown by Vowโd Weddings, a bold red reception dress from Albinadyla Couture, and a โleaving lookโ that gave total main character energy. Ashley had two custom tuxedos made by Mochee London and Connaisseur Paris that felt clean, classic, and powerful.
What was your ceremony like?
We wrote our own vows, which were filled with both laughter and tears. A live violist played โHomeโ by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros as Lauren walked down the aisle, and Laurenโs son served as our ring bearer, which honestly melted everyoneโs hearts. Officiated by The Mobile Officiant of Atlanta, it felt emotional and so personal to us.
Did you have a wedding theme or vibe?
We leaned into moody romance and editorial chic. It was all about contrast. Light and dark, soft and bold. We loved how Le Fleure Regine handled our florals and how the rentals from Unique Event Elements, Atlanta Dance Floors, I Do Linens, BBJ La Tavola, and Table Made Co pulled it all together. Custom stationery from Paper & More Creations tied everything together perfectly.
Who were the standout vendors?
Honestly, all of them. Yazmine Jade Collective captured every emotion, and their cousin who handled video was just as incredible. Catered By Payne made the food unforgettable, and Sips & Stir created signature cocktails that our guests loved. The Honey Photobooth Co kept everyone entertained, and we felt amazing thanks to Queens of Locs for hair, Brittany Lecesne Makeup for makeup, and The CoCo Experience for lashes.
What moments stand out most to you?
Ashley accidentally saw Lauren getting dressed before the reveal, which wasnโt planned but turned out to be such a sweet, emotional moment. Reading our vows to each other felt like everything stopped for a second. And our first drinks as a married couple? The perfect exhale before a night of nonstop dancing on that gorgeous Atlanta Dance Floors setup.
Any advice for couples planning a wedding?
Prioritize what actually matters to you, not just what Pinterest says you need. Give yourself grace when it comes to budget, and trust your vendors to bring your vision to life.
