I’ve (Liz) been travelling and photographing love stories for 15 years, and Jason has been obsessed with making films for over 2 decades. Can you share a creative solution you’ve had to come up with for a wedding challenge?
We had a couple that struggled with deciding if they would like to celebrate their elopement with just the two of them or if they wanted to invite some family or friends along. They felt very conflicted through the planning process and we were there for them every step of the way. On planning calls, I (Liz – the main planner) would listen and hold space for them to share their struggles and contemplations. They in the end chose to not have guests and I provided some alternative ideas like: having video calls with those they felt supported from on the day of their elopement, an option to read letters and words of wisdom from loved ones etc. ways that felt amazing for them and most importantly, what felt safe and celebratory. Regarding guests, we always encourage couples to do what brings them joy and leave the obligations and opinions behind. After all, that’s why eloping is such an amazing alternative to weddings. You can design your love day however you want so it feels exactly like your vibe; an incredibly special day to look back on for years to come!
What’s your favourite comfort food?
Tacos and pasta!! We could eat tacos and pasta everyday, forever.
Where would we find you and what would you be doing after a wedding weekend?
We would be relaxing and recharging at home, with our three beloved cats, eating take out, cuddling and diving deep into a crime doc or laughing our way through a comedy movie!
