An Engagement Photoshoot at Salt River in Phoenix

Our love story started on the college softball team. From there, everything just clicked, and the rest is history!

When it came to planning the proposal, I knew exactly where I wanted to do it—Papago Park in Arizona. We took a vacation in 2021, and it was one of the first places we visited. It became a special spot for us, and I just knew I had to take A’yanna back there to ask her to be my wife.

On the day of the proposal, I was filled with nerves but also excitement, knowing I was about to take this huge step. A’yanna’s reaction? “ABOUT DAMN TIME!”

We went to New York together and made a stop at Lauren B Jeweler to pick out rings. It was a fun experience to do it together, making it all the more meaningful.

We had never taken professional photos together before, so we thought doing engagement photos would be a unique way to capture our love. We met our photographer, Adriana, at a Halloween party, and after seeing her work, we knew she was the perfect match for us. The experience was amazing, and we’ve already decided she’s our photographer for life!

As for our wedding, we’re planning an elopement in 2024. We’re keeping the date a secret for now, but we can’t wait to take this next step together.
