Despite living in different states, their paths crossed on a dating app and their connection was undeniable. What started as a chance encounter on Bumble turned into a beautiful 3.5 year journey around the world filled with travel, adventure, and love. From long-distance dating to living together during a pandemic, their relationship has been tested and strengthened over time. Join us as we delve deeper into their love story and the moments that made their journey so special.
When Kelly & Jackie met via Bumble, Jackie was living in Massachusetts and Kelly was in Brooklyn. Kelly knew the minute she saw Jackie’s Bumble profile that she was the one and was ecstatic when they matched. Little did Kelly know that Jackie’s friends had set up her profile for her and Kelly was actually talking to Jackie’s friends at first but they immediately handed it back over to Jackie.
When Kelly learned that Jackie was living in Massachusetts at first, she told Jackie just to let her know if she ever moved back to NYC and was going to put a stop to talking. She had tried a long-distance Bumble relationship prior and didn’t want to do that again. Jackie told her she came back to visit family every two weeks so Kelly decided to give it a shot.
They immediately clicked when they finally met and one date turned into spending the weekend together. It was actually a blessing in disguise that Jackie was only coming back every two weeks because it kept their relationship slow, instead of jumping right in, which is what they both needed. They did a few months of that, still dating other people, until Jackie moved to Williamsburg, which she had planned to do before she met Kelly, so that also took the pressure off of things.
They spent 3.5 years traveling around the world together until Jackie proposed in Big Sur, California on New Year’s Day, Kelly’s favorite holiday.

Later that month on Kelly’s birthday, Kelly proposed back to Jackie over pizza at their favorite pizza spot in NoLita. Despite already being engaged, Kelly was still nervous and just slid the ring box under the pizza stand to Jackie. It was Jackie’s dream to get proposed to over pizza (which Kelly actually didn’t know). She was super surprised and thankfully said YES back!
That March, Covid hit and it put their relationship to the test living locked down together. One day, Jackie turned to Kelly and said, “you know what, I actually really like you.” what Jackie really meant is that they could be locked up together and still have fun, never putting a strain on their relationship.
They married on the anniversary of the first day they met, September 10th. They had an intimate, immediate-family-only, wedding in Joshua Tree, California. They now live a bi-coastal life between Williamsburg, New York, Palm Springs, California with their big fat Golden Retriever, Leo.
