DIY Favors, Espresso Martinis, and a Packed Dance Floor at Flowerdale Estate
Demi and Anna’s wedding at Flowerdale Estate was everything you want in a wedding weekend – laughs, surprises, and all their favorite people in one place. Picture this: DIY hot chocolate favors guests actually wore as bracelets by the end of the night, a dance floor packed from the first song, and espresso martinis flowing like water.
But it didn’t start there. Demi and Anna’s story includes a cheeky double proposal (yes, Anna popped the question too), a little dress regret that turned out perfectly, and even a hilarious mix-up about a ‘mandatory’ guest dress code. Their day wasn’t about perfection – it was about joy, connection, and a whole lot of love. Here’s how they pulled it off, one laugh and dance at a time.
Where did you choose to tie the knot and why?
We got married at Flowerdale Estate. It was the perfect mix of beautiful natural scenery and elegant charm, which matched our vibe perfectly. Plus, the venue team made everything so seamless for us.
Can you tell us about your outfits for the day?
I wore a stunning dress from Grace Loves Lace – it was comfortable, timeless, and I felt incredible in it. Demi rocked a custom suit that fit her like a glove. It was exactly what she envisioned for our wedding day style.
What was the story behind your engagement?
It all happened in the kitchen of all places! Demi gave me a scratchie card that said, “Will you marry me?” After the surprise settled, we headed to Cushla Whiting for a bespoke engagement ring that I absolutely adore.
How did you choose your vendors?
Our vendors were amazing! Smith And Archer captured every moment perfectly as our photographer. The Kelebrant did a beautiful job as our celebrant and created such a meaningful ceremony. Our flowers were by Just For My Little Love, and they nailed the earthy, romantic vibe we wanted.

What was your favorite DIY detail?
We made cute hot chocolate packs with marshmallows for favors and personalized table name cards using letter beads. They added such a fun, personal touch to the reception tables.
Did you have live music or a special song for the day?
Yes! Hey Jack provided live music, which created the most magical atmosphere. I walked down the aisle to You by Dan + Shay, and we signed our marriage certificate to Those Sweet Words by Norah Jones.
Was there a standout moment during your ceremony?
Our celebrant, The Kelebrant, included a beautiful tribute to the queer community, which made the ceremony even more meaningful for us and our guests.
Do you have any advice for other couples planning their wedding?
Choose vendors you trust, like our videographer True Story Wedding Films. Their work was so authentic and perfectly reflected our day. Also, don’t stress about the little things – everything will fall into place.
