Modern Monochrome Wedding Inspiration

The industrial feel of The Mowbray was the perfect backdrop for this romantic, minimally styled elopement. Paired with lots of fresh spring greens and florals, lovers, Jade and Sophie were the perfect models for this laid-back bridal look.

Taking inspiration from the beautiful velvet curtains that hang with The Mowbray, and working closely with Cat from Betty’s Flower Club, Abigail from AR Weddings used white textured linens and delicate cream muslin cotton napkins with simple and understated servewear and glassware. Modern bud vases and smooth ceramic bowls are used to display florals, adding height, color and texture to the table. Vivid green fruits were used to complement. Classic monochrome wedding day stationery from Coastal Wedding perfectly elevates the design.

And, all the details were captured by Rebecca Emily Photography.

Jade & Sophie’s Love Story

One of our favorite memories together is from our first holiday together in Corfu. We were on the beach near our hotel at sunset and wanted to try some couples yoga/acrobatics that we saw on Tiktok and we were laughing so much that it hurt. We ended up dancing, holding each other close, looking into each other’s eyes. The rest of the world disappeared. The waves lapping over each other was the only sound. It was the most beautiful moment and we’ll never forget it.

However, it hasn’t all been spectacular. We’ve been a long-distance couple since we started talking. We met through Tiktok and initially spent a weekend together in London. Soph’s family lives in East Sussex and Jade lives in Sheffield, so learning to navigate that was difficult. It has been really hard at times, especially on the days when we’re alone and struggling, when we’ve really needed each other.

Looking ahead, we hope to share so many more adventures together. Since we met, we’ve talked about wanting to buy a van together and convert it so we can drive it around. Traveling wherever we want, whenever we want. We just want to see the world and experience new places and cultures together.

We really are blessed to be fortunate enough to have these opportunities, and to do them together is even better.
