Adrienne and Leilani, who hail from Long Beach, California, met on the dance floor almost four years ago.
Traveling is something that they often do together so, when Leilani started planning a surprise getaway vacation with the couple’s favorite travel agent, Kathy Santos, Adrienne was left feeling none the wiser.
Kathy suggested Mexico, and all Leilani had left to do was tell Adrienne’s Mom that she was planning to ask her daughter to marry her – a nerve-wracking but exciting experience. Leilani had a ring, something that a whole lot of research went into finding. A vintage-style ring with a featured salt and pepper diamond was perfect.
The proposal went off without a hitch, on the beach with tequila flowing and tacos lined up – is there really any better combination?
Adrienne wanted Leilani to feel the same as she had when she was proposed to and so followed up with a second proposal. During Leilani’s birthday trip to Paso Robles, during a wine tour, a top of the vinery, Adrienne had organized a private picnic to pop the question.
Wedding planning for Adrienne and Leilani has been busy. They’ve given themselves a year to plan a Great Gatsby themed wedding, one that’s filled with love and excitement but has a hint of vintage glamour. It’ll be in their home of Long Beach, and it’s important to them both that they work with local vendors where they can.
