A Playful Beach Engagement Photoshoot
Megan (she/her) and Sierra (she/her) are the kind of couple whose love feels like it could light up any room. They share a love for spontaneous adventures, like a surprise trip to Joshua Tree, and quieter moments spent laughing over coffee or walking their dogs on the beach. Their engagement photos perfectly capture their easy connection, playful quirks, and the deep bond they’ve built together.
How did you two meet, and what was falling in love like?
Megan: Falling in love with Sierra was like being pulled into an undeniable force of nature -= it just felt right. It wasn’t a choice but something inevitable.
The early days were pure passion, like singing in the shower and staying up all night talking. Over time, it settled into something even more profound, like finding home in each other.
Everything just clicked.
What are some of your favorite memories together?
Sierra: Oh, we’ve made so many! Megan surprised me with a trip to Joshua Tree National Park for my birthday, and it was incredible. We’ve also had simple but beautiful moments like playing fetch with our dogs on the beach and even grocery store runs that turn into laughter-filled adventures with unexpected treats sneaking into the cart.
What does a typical date day look like for you?
Megan: Our date days always start with coffee – either made by Sierra (who’s a fantastic barista) or grabbed from a favorite shop. Then, it’s usually something outdoorsy like a hike or a stroll with our dogs. We both love animals, so a visit to the zoo or just walking through the neighborhood is perfect for us. In the evenings, we take a walk to decompress and reconnect – it’s a little ritual that keeps us grounded.
How do you two support each other in your relationship?
Sierra: One of the biggest things we’ve worked on is meeting in the middle with our different communication styles. We’ve learned to be open and vulnerable with each other.
Whether it’s celebrating the highs or navigating the lows, we’re always there to listen and give what the other needs – be it words of encouragement, a hug, or just space to breathe.
What’s something quirky about your relationship that feels totally “you”?
Megan: We have this endless habit of coming up with nicknames for each other – most of them don’t even make sense! It’s like our own little language, and our friends often joke that they don’t understand half of what we’re saying.
Oh, and we’re obsessed with animals. We even named a neighborhood cat, Buddy, who we always stop to pet. It’s become a running joke that people think we’re talking about a person.
Sierra: And Megan loves my breakfast ritual! I always place her breakfast on the counter and call out, “Order up for the cutest girl in blue!” It’s cheesy but makes her giggle every time.
What was it like having photographs taken together?
Megan: Honestly, it felt as natural as our relationship. The photos captured us – our quirks, our styles, and the way we interact – so authentically.
It’s special to see our love so clearly in these images.
While we feel it every day, having it tangibly captured in a photo is just magical.
