Yearning for inspiration that was bold and inspired by the artists around them, the team behind this creative styled shoot at Gather at Textile, Berwick, Pennsylvania, really took inspiration of paint to a whole new level.

A note from the photographer:
“We wanted to go all-out in terms of a painting aesthetic with vibrant, saturated colors, two colorful wedding dresses (the purple one having a skirt painted with watercolor), two beautiful hand-painted portraits of the models on the invitation suite, bottles of paint as guest favors, menus and ceremony backdrop splattered with paint, little ceramic cheese plates for a reception in the shape of a painter’s palette, and lush, vibrant florals.
My favorite elements of the shoot were photographing two brides, collaborating with the vendors, and going crazy with color. My favorite photographs are the bride with her flowy gown and florals, which come out so delicate on film (I shoot primarily with film), and having two brides together just made my photographer’s heart sing. The models are super in love with each other, making it that much more fun to photograph.
Collaborating with vendors is easily my favorite part of the wedding process, and man, this team is mind-blowingly talented. I told them a vague idea of what I had in mind and they ran with it and went above and beyond. We bounced ideas off each other the entire day, and it really inspired me, got my creative juices pumping, and reminded me why this job is super fun.”
