Cami and Megyn were married in a courthouse and never got to glam up on their day. This lavish, vintage styled shoot gave them the perfect opportunity to capture some memories to keep forever.
Tell us the inspiration behind the shoot.
I connected with Cami and Megyn on Instagram for a cozy-styled shoot at the Orting Manor. They got married at the courthouse during Covid and never had formal photos taken in wedding attire. Megyn also wore a suit on their wedding day, and she really wanted to wear a dress. So working with a&bé bridal, we were able to make that happen! All of the vendors who collaborated were so excited about what we were creating. It was a really fun afternoon that ultimately created a sweet date night for the two of them. I love carving out space to not only do a styled shoot but to help the couple feel celebrated.
Why was creating this shoot important to the team?
We were all excited about the chance to have an indoor celebration. The venue is somewhat new, so joining together as a team to create something the venue hasn’t hosted before was exciting. Many vendors haven’t worked together previously, which I find essential for a styled shoot. We’re allowing each other to do what we do best and getting to know how to work with one another at the same time. We also ultimately wanted it to feel inclusive and special to Cami and Megyn because this was more than just posing for pretty pictures for them.
My focus is to capture the pretty details the other vendors provide for the overall look, feel and really bring the shoot to life during styled shoots. But I primarily focus on creating an experience for the couple who is “modeling” for me that day and that what we’re doing can feel true to them.
What are the key styling elements of the styled inspiration, and who brought them to life?
Lori did a fantastic job coordinating everything to work together. She styled the dining table and the sweetheart table and made a point to make sure all of the vendors were represented.

What is your favorite memory together?
The first memory that comes to both minds is a trip we did to Tayrona National Park, South America. We hiked for two hours to the beach at noon, which was the worst time in the Caribbean. We didn’t bring enough water, we made all the mistakes you shouldn’t do, and yet snorkeling in the ocean together, being on that breathtaking beach, doing something we both really love. The absolute peace we felt being there together made it all seem magical.
What has been the biggest challenge you’ve had to overcome together?
Our biggest challenges have always been the external factors of life. We met while living abroad, and we were subjected to conforming with being seen as friends, being in the closet during that time. We were then long-distance when one of us moved out. It seemed that despite all these things, fate had it for us to be together.
Getting married right before the pandemic started and having to begin life as newlyweds in a micro-studio. Not being able to go anywhere, the uncertainty of our jobs, not knowing what the future held and where we would go, but always somehow being each other’s rock and being able to overcome anything life threw at us.
If you could give your younger selves a pep talk for the future, what would you say?
Megyn: I think I’d talk to young me about trusting myself to be able to reach my goals. I always had a lot of insecurities about my career and doing a good job. So I’d tell myself to have the confidence to follow my goals.
Cami: I’d have told young me that it was ok to be myself. Every part of me was worth loving, even the parts I didn’t think anyone would because someone does and, more importantly, because I do. I think I’d want younger me to know one day she’d get to love herself fiercely.
Tell us your favorite thing about one another.
Cami: My favorite thing about Megyn is that she feels like sunshine to me. She makes me happy, she makes me laugh every day, and she has the brightest smile. Being with her makes my life feel bright and warm.
Megyn: The way she makes me feel loved and cared for. I’ve never felt so loved and cared for as I do by her- both in the big things and the little things.red hair
