Love in Lockdown: A Tinder Success Story and Intimate Coastal Elopement

Lesbian elopement on Llanddwyn Island, Anglesey

Bryony, who was living in New Zealand at the time, had come back to the UK for Christmas in 2019 when she matched with Laura on Tinder. Their initial conversations were just like any other, but something about Laura’s persistence and charm kept Bryony intrigued. They started talking more and more, and before they knew it, they were spending hours on video calls and staying up all night to talk to each other.

Bryony had planned to return to the UK in the summer of 2020, but because of her connection with Laura and the uncertainty of the pandemic, she decided to come back earlier. When Bryony landed in Manchester airport, Laura was there waiting for her, grinning from ear to ear. They went back to Laura’s house, and what was meant to be a one-night stay turned into something far more permanent.

As the pandemic hit and lockdowns ensued, Bryony and Laura decided to quarantine together. It was a risky move, but it ended up being the best decision they could have made. Being together 24/7 put their relationship into overdrive, and they learned everything about each other in record time.

In June 2021, during a trip to Cornwall, Bryony proposed to Laura.

Bryony and Laura’s elopement was a truly special occasion, made all the more poignant by the pandemic that had disrupted so many plans. Despite the challenges, the couple remained committed to celebrating their love in a way that felt authentic and meaningful to them. Their coastal ceremony was a testament to their creativity and resilience, as well as their deep affection for each other.

From the sweet first look to the stunning backdrop of the ceremony location, everything about the day was carefully planned and beautifully executed. Bryony and Laura’s choice of Lllandwyn Island was particularly inspired, with its romantic associations and breathtaking natural beauty. Even the weather cooperated, providing a dramatic and moody backdrop for the photographs. As the couple explored the island together, it was clear that they were both filled with joy and gratitude for the love that they had found. The evening was a fitting culmination of a magical day, filled with warmth, laughter, and memories that would last a lifetime.

Fast forward to 2023, and Bryony and Laura’s love story has reached new heights. After an 18-month fertility journey, they are now expecting their first child, a testament to their unwavering commitment to each other and their enduring love.
