Getting married in Manitoba

Canada has had marriage equality nationwide since 2005, and there’s no residency requirement, so couples from anywhere can marry here.

The legal bit

Both of you buy your licence in person from a registered issuer at least 24 hours before your ceremony. It is valid for three months, only in Manitoba. A religious official or marriage commissioner can marry you.
