Hey, I’m Violet! (she/they) I’m an East coast-based photographer who loves capturing love stories and turning them into art.

This experience is about YOU and your partner – and your wedding or elopement should reflect that. I’m a huge fan of ditching old wedding traditions that don’t feel true to you. As the person lucky enough to capture these memories for you, I don’t really believe in staging moments – I want to capture the day authentically as it unfolds. Your wedding day shouldn’t feel like a big photoshoot. Rather, looking back at your photo gallery should help you relive the day.

From the moment you inquire with me, you are chatting directly with me — no automations. It’s so important that you click with your photographer so you can kick back, relax and get the most out of this whole experience. I’m here to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera AND have fun — I hear all the time from clients that shooting with me feels like hanging out with an old pal. I want to capture you as you are in this moment, and create art out of your love story.

I bounce between New York and the south coast of Massachusetts where I grew up, and will continue to book both of these locations with no travel fees. But I love to travel all over, and I’ve been lucky enough to capture love stories at all ends of the country. Take me anywhere! Icebreaker Team elopement or wedding? Why?

Don’t get me wrong, I love an intimate elopement, but a bigger celebration with ALL of your people? Can’t beat it!

What’s your advice for dealing with wedding day jitters?

Take a deep breath — and leave it to your team! I always set the schedule as my phone background, so the couple never has to stress about when or where to be. I’ll keep ya on track!

What’s your favorite comfort food?

I’m a big snacker – Flamin’ Hot Cheetos are my go-to editing snack.

How do you capture the unique personalities of the people you work with?

I really like to get to know my couples throughout this process, both as individuals and as a partnership. I always encourage doing a casual or engagement session doing your favorite activity (roller skating, playing board games, etc.) or in your favorite date spot (brewery, conservatory, etc.) to make it feel extra true-to-you. When it comes to the wedding, I ask in my questionnaire what each partner is looking forward to most on the wedding day, so I can make sure to give these moments or details a lil extra energy!
