Hi, I’m Vivian! I am a nature lover and visual storyteller who focuses on organic moments while highlighting a sense of space and showcasing your beloved communities authentically. I began my photography journey two decades ago, assisting high-end wedding photographers before branching out on my own. What started as a job became my purpose as I fell in love with storytelling through my art. I am incredibly lucky to spend my weekends surrounded by joy, having now captured over 500 weddings from lavish celebrations at luxury hotels to quiet, intimate elopements by the sea. Photography has been my passport to travel the world, connect with so many remarkable people, and play a part in sharing their stories.
It’s just you, the love of your life, and a handful of your closest friends and family, celebrating your love, your commitment, and the life you want to build together.

New York legalized marriage equality in 2011, four years before the rest of the country, and the state has been a go-to for queer weddings ever since. City hall elopements, Brooklyn breweries, Catskills creeksides: it’s all here.
Apply with any town or city clerk in the state. You’ll wait 24 hours after the license is issued before your ceremony, and the license is good for 60 days from the day after issue. You need at least one witness besides your officiant. You don’t need to live in New York, and neither does your officiant.
NYC runs its own marriage bureau, with its own fees. If a friend is officiating within the five boroughs, they must register with the City Clerk first. A city hall elopement in Manhattan is a classic for a reason.
Brooklyn is a favorite, from a brewery wedding with a ring bear to soft gothic romance in a brownstone. Want trees? Head upstate for a creekside Catskills wedding.

Yes, if they are authorized, for example ordained by a religious body. In New York City, the officiant must also register with the City Clerk before the ceremony.
No. You can apply with any town or city clerk in the state, and your officiant does not need to live in New York either.
Legal details last checked October 2026 against the New York State Department of Health. NYC fees and rules come from the City Clerk.
