Summit and Sur Photography

Documenting your wildest adventures and everything in between.

Hello, hello future friends (because that is just what happens around here once we work together)—my name is Christie (she/her) and I am so excited to have you here on this corner of the internet, checking out my work!

As a California- based photographer, I love capturing the most important moments of your life in a way that feels fun, natural, meaningful. From adventure elopements to surprise proposals to family sessions, I am here to bring your vision to life; if you aren’t quite sure what you want, that’s okay too! Part of my job is getting to know you and your partner to help craft the perfect session or elopement day with you so that your photos are more than just a picture…they become lifelong memories.

So head on over to that contact form and let’s start getting to know each other, because I can’t wait to meet you and create something you will remember forever!

What’s the most rewarding thing about being a wedding pro?

Getting to create art that is tangled up in such important memories feels like an immense privilege that I will never get over. It will never be lost on me how important these moments are for my clients and knowing that I get to document all of it for them always makes my heart soar.

Icebreaker How can lovers make their wedding day special?

My best advice to couples when planning their elopements is to think of the things that you normally do together that make you both happy. Of course, you are going to say vows and take some awesome portraits in whichever setting you have in mind but your elopement day is SO much more than that. It’s a day that shouldn’t feel stressful or one big show for the cameras; this is the beginning of your life together as a married couple and how you spend your day should reflect that. So whether that means coffee together at sunrise while cuddling together or maybe a walk together with your pup before getting ready—these are all little things you may normally do that are in fact special and deserve to be documented as part of your big day!
