Hi! I’m Christie, owner, and photographer for Summit and Sur Photography. Based near Los Angeles, I consider myself local to SoCal but always down to travel to make some magic happen for my couples and families. I specialize in elopements and lifestyle sessions—you know, the kind of photography where you aren’t looking at the camera but rather your favorite person (or people) in the world. My style is warm and romantic, with a dash of vintage film thrown in there for good measure. I find inspiration for my work in the outdoors, retro trends, and Taylor Swift (just laying my cards out there early on).

As someone who had a fairly traditional wedding myself but wanted something much smaller, I knew that when I became a photographer, I wanted to help couples advocate for themselves in having their own intimate weddings, allowing them to have the day of their dreams. I am a big believer that everyone should get the day they have always dreamed of, no matter how big or, in my case, how small. As an ordained photographer, I also feel so lucky to get to marry some of my couples myself–something that is pretty unique to small, intimate weddings and elopements.
