Palm Springs has a special place in our hearts. It was where we went on our first trip together, and the energy of the desert is something we can’t explain. Well, she got us a room at an incredible hotel for the weekend and COMPLETELY caught me off guard when she got on one knee in the hotel’s garden before dinner. I even crossed paths with the photographer she hired to capture the moment.

Needless to say, I am a bit oblivious at times. It was the most romantic weekend at the most incredible hotel I could imagine. If you are going to Palm Springs, the Sparrows Lodge is a MUST stay.

How Did Your Family Help Bring Your Wedding Dreams To Life?

We pitched a simple backyard wedding to my mom and dad, who took it above and beyond anything we could have ever dreamed of. They completely re-landscaped the backyard, painted the barn, re-did the driveway, and then some! Words can’t explain the gratitude and love we felt with all of the efforts. It was hard work, and we all pitched in, but it was 100% worth it.

Ashley had a bit more of a difficult time finding the exact right fit for her. Many suitmakers don’t cater to women’s body types, but she found the best person who made the process easy and created exactly what she wanted. Kat went to a few different shops, but she knew that Sarah Seven would be the one, so she saved it for last. No surprise, Kat found the dress of her dreams thanks to the fantastic team at Sarah Seven.

What Are Your Favorite Moments?

Kat stepped in Stinging Nettle during the first look, and her ankles were ON FIRE! Thanks to superman Chris, he diagnosed what it was and was able to remedy the burning! He came in handy more than once! For Kat, walking down the aisle and seeing everyone she loves so dearly was one of the major highlights of the day.

Kat– When my dads gave me away, all of the nerves melted away knowing that my partner, best friend and greatest love was up there WITH ME, that I was no longer alone on this journey of life- that sums up one of my favorite moments.
