Kellie & Stacey

Kellie and Stacey met back in January of 2015, when Kellie’s son, Kian, started preschool – and Stacey happened to be the teacher. A strong friendship formed, but it came to a point where Kellie needed to tell Stacey exactly how she really felt. Neither was expecting to have feelings for one another, but sometimes the world has a way.

Six months into their relationship, Stacey surprised Kellie at the Winter Wonderland in London. She’d organized for friends and family to surprise Kellie. They assembled outside the Magical Ice Kingdom, a crowd began to form, and as Kellie and Stacey exited, they held up a sign, ‘Kellie, will you marry me?’

The wedding venue was somewhat of an impulsive choice. Together Kellie and Stacey had visited Audleys Wood Hotel for afternoons of tea and cakes. They attended an open evening where the venue was showcased as a wedding venue. Kellie dived in the deep end and booked the wedding that night!

Finding dresses was just as much of a breeze. Both brides to be found their dresses in one trip to the dress boutique. Stacey tried on every style of dress in the store but fell in love with a laced A-line, while Kellie only needed to try on five before she fell in love with her laced A-line.

The wedding day was perfect. Although a moment of disruption came when they realized that not a whole lot of guests had brought confetti down to the ceremony with them, it wasn’t something that couldn’t be easily rectified.

Kellie and Stacey described their highlights as sharing their vows and walking back down the aisle as wife and wife to ‘Love Never Felt So Good’ by Justin Timberlake and Michael Jackson. Family and friends greeted them, and there wasn’t a dry eye.

To Kellie and Stacey, married means committing your life to the person you love. Stacey, who had never wanted to get married until she met Kellie. Describes marriage as making a promise to be together through the ups and downs of life. It’s a promise that shows her new wife, without question, the importance of their relationship.
