How Long Have You Been Together, And How Did You Meet?

Ceirra- We began dating in 2010 in high school. I came out to my family, and it did not go well. We were not allowed to see each other anymore, which put a lot of strain on our relationship, and we ended up splitting up. I blocked Rhi because seeing her being with anyone else was too painful. We both moved on with our lives and after almost 11 years apart, we reconnected and got back together in 2021.

Aside From Your Wedding, What Is Your Favorite Memory Together?

Ceirra- The night we began dating in high school. I had gone to a haunted trail, and Rhi refused to go because she was terrified, so she stayed at my house while I went. I thought of her the whole time, and when I came back that night, I remember sitting in Rhi’s lap and telling her that I wanted to be with her. The way the moon shone through the window, and the connection we shared is a memory that neither of us will ever forget.

Tell Us About The Proposal.

We both decided eloping was best, but Rhi surprised me on our first anniversary. She took me back to the spot where we met back up at (after 11 years) and asked me to be her wife. We already knew we were eloping, but she said that she still wanted to ask me to be her wife, which I loved.

When we first got back together, my family was still iffy about the situation. Ceirra honestly didn’t think anyone from her family would come to our wedding, so we decided to elope and have an after-elopement celebration/Halloween party once we returned from Oregon. Ceirra’s whole family came to our elopement party, fully dressed up, and surprised her. She had NO idea!

We were looking on Pinterest and fell in love with Oregon. We found an oceanfront Airbnb in Brookings and fell in love with it! We flew out to Oregon a couple of days before our actual elopement and scouted out the perfect location. Then we went to the courthouse to get our marriage certificate, where we met a local celebrant we had previously contacted. We also brought our friend and photographer, Corey, with us, and she photographed everything.

We woke up the morning of October 18th, got ready, and headed to the Red Woods in California for the first set of photos. We then returned to the house, got ready for the official ceremony, and headed to Gold Beach. We shared our vows and officially became one on Gold Beach. We took pictures there, then at Secret Beach, and then returned to our Airbnb to celebrate with cake and our first dance.

What does the future hold for you both?

The future looks so bright. Ceirra has two little boys who Rhi has completely accepted as her own. We are currently in the process of IUI to have our own little miracle baby. We can not wait to add to our perfect little family!
